Salary: Euro 30,000 – 50,000 per annum

Financial Risk/ Market Analyst (a combination role):

Half of his time the analyst will assist the Chief Risk Officer in all aspects of the company's financial management. This includes risk reporting for trading, financial reporting, financial administration, trading mid- and back office activities. Some of these functions are outsourced to professional vendors (such as fund administrator, clearing/custodian bank). An important aspect of the candidate’s role will be liaising with these vendors. The successful candidate will be expected to play a proactive role in academically challenging activities as well as administrative activities. The ideal candidate has experience in financial management. Understanding of risk management fundamentals such as VaR and mark to market accounting is a plus. Quantitative skills are a definite advantage as are extensive Excel, Access and VBA skills.

The other half of his time the analyst will support the traders with analyses regarding the traded markets. The successful candidate will play a proactive role in the fund's trading activities in order to capture trading opportunities. Experience in analyzing power or other commodities and work experience gained with a reputable utility is a plus. Strong personal motivation, entrepreneurial drive, belief in a teamwork approach, outstanding communication skills, good academic background (master degree in business economics, financial management, econometrics or similar), and fluency in English are required.
